Purpose and goal

The need for practical skills and theory within the field of innovation management are identified and requested. To successfully become attractive organizations and to be able to compete long term on the market, there is a clear need for support, tools, processes and shared language that strengthens and engages employees and the management within innovation processes. The goal was to make new services, tools, and processes with in innovation management available and create a new open and strengths-based innovation management concepts that was able to build the innovation capacity.

Expected results and effects

The project idea and the target was to create a unique product portfolio - Skarp-Online - a web-based innovation platform - that drives development by open employee-driven innovation processes. The result http://skarpinnovation.se/skarp/ is currently applicable and scalable to all sectors and clusters in the region, nationally and internationally. Today Skarp-Online offers well-packaged theoretical and practical craftsmanship with in the field of innovation management. A web-portal, support and education through webseminars and traditional consulting is also available.

Planned approach and implementation

The design and implementation has followed the project plan, however, the project has been extended with a three months’ implementation period until 2017-03-31. The results are on parity with and has also exceeded the expectations. Above all, many new insights have been gained regarding working with innovation management at different levels and in different contexts. The project’s pilots have gained insight in that it will take time, requires dedicated resources and regular training to learn how to use and new approaches to develop their effectiveness and capacity for innovation.
