Important results from the project
The national program brings together actors in the health & care, industry and academia. Initiatives may relate to the innovative technology as well as improved resource utilization or innovative processes. Overall objectives are: MedTech is the driver of an excellent health-care system as measured in terms of health outcome per cost-unit to strengthen national and international business opportunities for the medtech industry Sweden to be internationally recognized for excellence and expertise in needs-based innovation, research and education
Expected long term effects
2020 Sweden is the country in Europe: with the strongest growth in medtech innovations and in the number of companies with medtech products that has the best medtech mgmnt and outcome of medtech research and development with the highest return on investment in quality-adjusted years of life/investment And have a world-leading innovation system for the medtech industry developed medtech in a number of strategic product categories that generate particularly high value in the health-care sector a national medtech forum with an internat recognized track record of excellence
Approach and implementation
Participating parties consists of seven nodes, research institutions and a large numberr of companies.
