Purpose and goal

The purpose of the project is to improve the accuracy of predicted springback in sheet metal forming. Springback is a mainly stress driven problem, i.e. the magnitude of the springback depends mostly on the stresses existing in the workpiece after completed forming. The project is therefore focused on improved material modelling, and through that on increased accuracy of the predicted springback. The influence of the modelling of kinematic hardening, yield function, elastic stiffness degradation, and elastic anisotropy will be studied.

The project description has been provided by the project members themselves and the text has not been looked at by our editors.
