Important results from the project
The goal was to create a solution for recipient-free deliveries with an intact cold chain to support home service´s transition to online grocery shopping. Two different types of cabinet hardware are available and adapted to home services needs. Smaller cabinets adapted for 1 consumer and larger units with several compartments adapted for multi-family properties or service houses. Home service can via the app follow when deliveries have been made to the delivery cabinets and easily unlock the cabinets through the app at the next visit to the recipient.
Expected long term effects
The project has enabled the development and adaptation of hardware and associated app to enable recipient- the elderly living in villas, townhouses and multi-family properties. The first installation in collaboration with the City of Helsingborg has been completed and through continued collaboration, we will share the solution and knowledge to other regions in Sweden.
Approach and implementation
The project has been organized and implemented as 3 subprojects, physical hardware, overall software and user interface. Dialogue and exchange of experience from the project parties has taken place through coordination from the key people in the project.
