Routes for innovative ideas. Citizens and the Örebro region in an increased and deepend dialogue

Purpose and goal

The project has identified a number of ideas about how the upcoming regional organization in a systematic and structured approach can capture innovative ideas from citizens. We have identified the unit within the forthcoming organization that will have the practical responsibility for these issues, although the specific persons are not yet identified. The concrete project organization will be completed by the end of the year. The project has through its work procedures clarified some of the necessary conditions required for a future implementation project.

Results and expected effects

The project has led to the results we generally had expected. The workshops we have conducted have led to many exciting and interesting ideas about how the new regional organization can work to gather ideas from citizens and how the organization can ensure that ideas are disposed of in a fruitful way. The external contextual analysis has also yielded interesting pictures of how other counties / regions handle corresponding questions, although we had expected a greater diversity of activities overall, among other counties and regions.

Approach and implementation

To implement the project in conjunction with the introduction of a new regional organization has meant that we have succeeded in bringing the issues to a common level. The project´s workshops have worked well and we will be using similar methods in a future implementation project. The external contextual analysis has been a good way to get inspiration and ideas, but also to show that the questions are not always placed high on the county councils / regions agendas. It has sometimes been difficult to get in touch with the right people and get the relevant information from various organization.
