Venture The strategic innovation programme for Production2030

Purpose and goal

The purpose with this project, a conference, was to present results from Produktion2030 and discuss the future of production in Sweden. The purpose was also to invite all Swedish actors in the field of production , communicate information about the program and its current and future activities. The objectives of the project were met. More than 240 people from industry, academia and research institutes from all over Sweden attended and there where plenty of opportunities for socializing and informal discussions in addition to the conference program .

Results and expected effects

The results of the Conference include high participation by industry (50 % of participants ), commitment and interest in research and innovation projects and interesting and thought-provoking presentations. Moreover the Programme Office and communication officer planned and conducted a series of communications activities before, during and after the conference ( Produktion2030 ´trendade´ on Twitter during the day) .

Approach and implementation

One year before the Conference, a project team was formed. This group incuded the programme office, their communications bureau and a team from Gothenburg where the conference was held. Regular meetings were held. Emphasis was placed on a Conference programme with participant from high level and from research. LArge efforts were also put into ccommunication material, all 18 projects were written in a ´popular science version´ which were distributed during the Conference.
