Purpose and goal

Proper chemical composition on bioplastics, which gives the same function as PVC and find production equipment that can produce 0.35 mm film. Allow to make granules and extrude to at least 1.0 m width. Environmental approval at Sunda Hus Test flame retardant at RISE Function tests for covering straight insulated pipes

Expected results and effects

The scheme was to produce granules with better flame retardancy. It succeeded and the granules have become A-rated by SundaHus. The next step in the production chain was the production of rolls with 1.4 m width and thicknesses 0.3 and 0.5 mm. Production failed because the granules with flame retardant required higher temperature in the extruder.

Planned approach and implementation

New production will be made at another manufacturer, which has extruders for higher temperature. In the first step, the width will be limited to 1 m compared to the previous 1.4. This means a lower productivity for the end use, since mounting will take longer. We continue to search for production equipment, which can handle both high temperature and width 1.4 m.
