Purpose and goal

Initiate a research platform (ReLog) at Campus Helsingborg. The platform´s aim is to pursue, strengthen and develop interdisciplinary, need-oriented and applied research, primarily in logistics, that contributes to enhancing skills, a new workforce and innovation, and with that, growth for the business community. In cooperation with governmental authorities and industry, ReLog has successfully obtained the majority of its research project funding from various research councils and foundations, and has delivered quality results on an international, top-class level.

Expected results and effects

Twenty-some research projects, new business concepts, improved teaching quality and a new company are some of the outcomes of the strategic research venture, ReLog, at Campus Helsingborg. Based on the challenges facing Helsingborg and its business community, a particularly strong research community has been established with expertise in the digitalisation of retail and distribution. Today, ReLog is a viable research group made up of five senior researchers and four postgraduate students.

Planned approach and implementation

An interdisciplinary, need-oriented and applied research approach is the foundation of ReLog. That is why the research is conducted in project format in cooperation with the relevant authorities and industries. The dissemination of knowledge and the dialogue about business research needs are central to all the researchers at ReLog. In addition to their regular contacts with the trade and industry community in the projects, ReLog researchers have also participated in close to 150 network events, judging panels, seminars, panel debates and workshops in the course of the Projects.
