Purpose and goal

Direct contacts and interviews with companies have been conducted on the subject of digital quality control at re-use. A workshop has been held at RISE Viktoria in Gothenburg with both project internal and project external speakers as well as participants from the institute sector, academia, education, industry with needs and industry with solutions. Several drafts of possible follow-up project have been compiled.

Expected results and effects

The project has identified industrial needs as well as an appropriate demonstrator for a spjutspets project. Additional demonstrators not suitable for a spjutspets project have been identified. The network of stakeholders with interest in digital quality control at reusage in circular economy has been expanded and strengthened. Project participants have strengthened their belief that digital quality control with integrated sensors or digital NDT will be an important part of a financially sustainable circular economy.

Planned approach and implementation

The project included, for all project participants, much direct contact with industry, institute sector and academia. All project participants were involved in this part of the project and tight internal coordination (telephone meetings, project website) was necessary. In collaboration a workshop was held with both project internal and external speakers. A number of possible continuation projects were alive in parallel before one of them finally were selected to focus on.

The project description has been provided by the project members themselves and the text has not been looked at by our editors.
