Project duration December 2016 - December 2017
Status Completed

Purpose and goal

The project’s aim has been to impose requirements on competence for the profession Innovation leader. The requirements have then served as supporting material for attaining the target with personal certified Innovation leaders and a method for this qualification. The purpose and target have been attained.

Expected results and effects

The project has attained its results and obtained both expected effects and new knowledge. Knowledge from the project has been disseminated in many different ways and has already created demand for the profession Innovation leader. We have also seen that the intended method in the Project works. Improvements are needed in the question bank for written examinations and those who wish to get certified use their own experienced cases. A handbook for innovation management and tests on the benefits of ISO 50501 are required for further development.

Planned approach and implementation

The project was conducted in 10 steps, where each part was performed in accordance with the approved project plan. They can be summarised as the professionalisation scope, training, qualification, professionalisation/certification. There was broad supporting material from the project on training, work experience, description of roles as well as innovation process. All parts were important for the project’s positive results, i.e. that new knowledge is disseminated and that now it is clear what is included in the profession Innovation leader and how it can be verified.
