Important results from the project

Goal and objective of the project was to increase efficiency and reduced time-to-market by developing improved methods, processes, component models and tools for certification/qualification/verfication of safety related embedded systems. pSafeCer included competence from the automotive, construction equipment, avionics and railway domains. It was an ARTEMIS JU project with 23 participating industries, universities and research instititutes from six European countries. Final report is attached (including detailed descriptions of goal and objectives - metrics).

Expected long term effects

Evaluation of project results shows (when developing and certifying safety related embedded systems): - reduced cost for qualification, certification and verification. - increased efficiency (when using developed framework, i.e. process, component model and tools, for model based development and certification). Final report is attached (including detailed descriptions of results and expected end effects).

Approach and implementation

pSafeCer was divided in seven main work packages, themeselves further divided in sub-work packages and tasks:. WP1 Requirements and state-of-art/state-of-practice WP2 Technology and process WP3 Tool framework WP4 Instantiations WP5 Demonstrators WP6 Dissemination/exploitation and standardization WP7 Project management Fruitful cooperation and interesting results has caracterized the project. It has passed all milestones and was considered very successful by particiapants,, Artemis JU, and external reviewers.
