Important results from the project

The purpose of this project was to take important steps towards sales. We have designed and implemented a major restructuring of the app that makes our product scalable and solves several practical problems. We have also improved the user experience, created analysis tools through data collection, and evaluated payment solutions and pricing. We´ve also examined alternative revenue streams. The goal fulfillment is satisfying, as we are significantly closer to a sellable product and have an increased understanding of customers, the market, pricing and the last steps towards sales.

Expected long term effects

We have laid the foundation for an app that works for our users in Uganda and other priority markets with high requirements on accessibility, while enabling rapid integration of new game modules. Based on this, we expect to be able to expand the content of the app in a fast pace, while size and data usage are no longer obstacles. The next step is to expand the game modules according to an acknowledged educational standard, to expand the content, and to develop new features while expanding our user base. These we believe are the most important steps towards starting sales.

Approach and implementation

During the project period, we stuck to the project plan except for a late start due to the availability of our resources. This combined with the fact that we lost a resource at the beginning of the project due to illness lead us to apply for an extended project time. We are still very pleased with the project as we met the goals we set, spent more time in Uganda, built and strengthened important relationships. It has been important for us to have a user-centric way of working: to network in Uganda, meet parents and work close to our local coordinator and developers.
