Purpose and goal

The project has meant a lot for us and we are very satisfied with the outcome of the promised result from being GAP project participants. On most all aspects we are very pleased and thankful, and we feel much safer looking at our next steps. Worth pointing out was importance of critic analysis - things that we do right in other markets can show totally wrong in the american market. For instance being modest in approach is wrong and can be perceived as a sign of weakness.

Expected results and effects

The most important result is that we got confirmation that PrimeKey could and should focus on North American market, and also insights about what we should improve within our company in order to succeed. Both Prof Cohen and the jury expressed that PrimeKey establishment in USA should be done. Directly after our presentation we got two invites for investment in our company, which we politely declined since we have Swedish capital. We expect that market entry in USA would increase our revenues and also give us valuable feedback from the market.

Planned approach and implementation

UCLA has run GAP programme for several years and how project is done was steered by them. Organisation was excellent, both when we visited UCLA but also how we collaborated online. If there would be something we missed, then it would be more time with Prof Cohen and the jury, but we understand that since there are some many companies in the programme, time itself was limiting factor.
