Purpose and goal

The path of increased performance in not be reached anymore increase clock frequency. The industry selected instead multi-core technology. Further, growing demand for flexibility and efficiency, including integration and energy savings opportunities,. New architecture is Tegra, Tilera64Pro, Snapdragon and Epiphany. Project´s goal is improved tools and more efficient development support for software. Addition to shorten the development the time even in advance provide performance analysis. This primary objectives is reached. Exportation by partner: see weblink below.

Expected results and effects

The project has entailed results that offers shortened time to market. The stipulated goal was 20% shorten time and this achieved with addressed tools and programming model. Reduction of the costs of system design is clearly within target of 15% thanks to automation of embedded SW adaptation for various platforms. The project support for different domains is handled the with help the of uniform embedded architectures and platforms. Manage increased complexity with simplifying tool for heterogeneous systems.

Planned approach and implementation

The project approach is related to the state of art to identify possibilities to meet industrial requirements. For partners, this meant to focus on the development platform for the selected hardware, ARM, Tilea and Parallel and develop support for them. Further, the cross compiling system that was developed in the project was to connect the system support for greater adaptability as system customization for and selected standards for the project. In addition to fundamental analysis devotes partners large percentage of time in the development and implementation of software.
