OPENbike next generation bike share system for user friendly- and sustainable cities

Important results from the project

The project aims at developping an IT-demonstrator for a next generation communication- and booking system for public bicycles. This includes software, userinterface and hardware development and is based on thorough analysis of user needs. The planned system introduces major improvements in terms of flexibility and user-friendliness compared to the currently dominating systems. It solves several drawbacks, e.g. because it integrates smart IT-solutions in the vehicles to increase flexibility, scalabiliy and uses user-friendliness.
