Reference number
Coordinator BISNODE AB
Funding from Vinnova SEK 1 570 700
Project duration July 2017 - July 2018
Status Completed

Important results from the project

The project aimed at giving small businesses the opportunity to create new digital services through Bisnode making available data and expertise, and offering new forms of cooperation through open innovation processes. Through the various activities carried out in the project, direct business benefits for the participating companies were created, while learnings made it possible to iterate and scale.

Expected long term effects

The companies BoardEaser, iFrågasätt & Tölve have, with Bisnode´s data, created services that strengthened their competitiveness and position with increased sales and new employees as a result. The hackathon Lund Innovation Challenge trained over 100 students in data-driven business development and returns in the fall of 2018. Bisnode has improved ability to continue working with open innovation aimed at small businesses, with clearer processes, templates for agreements and similar. Bisnode now also has the technical ability to self-serve data and services through open APIs.

Approach and implementation

The project was divided into six sub-projects aimed at creating business benefits for the smaller companies, building knowledge and processes that support open innovation and providing space for serendipity. Through this broad approach, all of Bisnode´s internal functions have been trained in what is required to be a good open innovation partner, while allowing a large number of smaller companies to innovate and collaborate using Bisnode´s capabilities. Each collaboration is unique in itself, so this broad approach has given very good effects in all dimensions.
