Project duration December 2017 - August 2019
Status Completed
Venture The strategic innovation programme Electronic Components and Systems:

Purpose and goal

The project has, according to plan, produced a teaching material, an NTA theme, containing theory and laboratory steps with guidance material for both teachers and students. However, not all electronics and programming-relevant parts of the technology subject have been possible to cover by one theme. In order to cope with the adaptation to the spread over grades of the technical subject´s 200 teaching hours, the theme has been divided into two, one of which is thought for school years 4-7, completed in this project and the next theme, for school years 7-9, will be completed in subsequent project

Expected results and effects

The teaching material has been reviewed and praised by didactic and pedagogical experts who have also been involved in writing the National Agency for Educations´s curricula for the technical subject. The organization NTA Skolutveckling also experiences a strong interest from teachers to participate in NTA´s educational program for a new theme. Interest has been 2-3 times greater than in previous launches of new themes.

Planned approach and implementation

Smarter electronic systems technical experts and NTA School Development´s pedagogical experts have for the benefit of all involved together developed teaching materials intended for the elementary school´s technical subject. By engaging people also involved in developing the National Agency for Educations´s curricula, the collaboration has created a unique teaching material well adapted to support the elements and goals in the curriculum for the technology subject related to electronics. Material has been specially adapted to feedback from teachers testing the material.
