Purpose and goal

The prestudy have buildt a testing platform for testing medical equipment, where the population structure that is about 25 years ahead of the global trend. Contact surfaces have been established with companies, primary care managers, discussions with relevant actors in other counties and municipalities is in progress. Conceptualization of VHR provide opportunities for older people with care needs to a lesser degree in hospital with lower costs for health care and opportunities for virtual meetings between caregiver and patient or between professions in other fields.

Results and expected effects

Assumptions of the establishment of the testbed in Norrland has been verified with positive results. Furthermore, the establishment and development underway in collaboration with Skelleftea and NUS in order to create a commercial viable solution. Discussions are ongoing with other test beds to create a Testbed Sweden. There is in addition to the establishment of VHR also tests in primary care in Västerbotten of a medical device that will provide a basis for the development of business and related services to customers-tested products may be the potential to be commercially viable.

Approach and implementation

1: Pilot testing of medical device in Västerbotten and Norrbotten, as well as the construction of pilot VHR (virtual wellness room) is in progress. 2: Contact surfaces have been established with primary care managers with positive response. Discussions are being held with KI, SLL, NLL and Västernorrland. Cooperation with Skelleftea and Spearhead Västerbotten resulting in a joint venture. 3: Summary of laws, regulations and population databases, relevant for testbed operations, is developed and procedures are being processed.
