Important results from the project
The purpose of the pre-study was to consolidate the constellation of actors & commence the work on non-normative innovation support processes. The purpose of the pre-study has been fulfilled. The aim was to contribute to the development of non-normative methods & processes for innovation support which lead to non-normative innovation, which, in turn, leads to strengthened innovativeness. We have created an awareness about norms and their impact on the design of the innovation support system. A future full study would increasingly strengthen the long term fulfillment of the purpose
Expected long term effects
Output: (1) a consolidated constellation of actors and (2) creating an awareness regarding the normative impact of the innovation support system in the participating municipalities. The expected implications of the pre-study is a continuation of the reflective efforts in the municipalities regarding the consequences of a normative system of the innovation support system and how this could be executed in a less normative manner. The innovation support system will be less excluding and thus capture and support innovations from innovators with different backgrounds and experiences
Approach and implementation
An important lesson was that a non-normative approach basically is a question of knowledge. It is challenging to formulate how a non-normative approach may be integrated in everyday work, development work and in the design of innovation process support. A much appreciated version of a dialogue seminar was developed during the pre-study. You-tube clips & flip classroom methodology was used to create awareness regarding innovation process support norms. Appropriate examples of non-normative innovations and non-normative processes were developed in conjunction with the parties.
