Important results from the project
The main purpose of the project: "To develop "new vision technology for automatic quality assurance in production lines" is achieved A prototype of the visionsystem has been built and evaluated with good result.
Expected long term effects
The new vision based modular technology platform, that have been developed within the project, has been presented to several potential customers And there is a great interest in our new vision technology. The industrialization phase of the prototype has been started and the first orders for the new product is expected within 2017.
Approach and implementation
The plan "to start with the most important project part" to achieve a high measurement accuracy "was good but it needed more calendar time and man-hours. Prototype work has largely taken place according to plan. In the AP4 "surface inspection functionality", we have ensured that the most common types of surface defects in foiled panels can be detected parallel to the measurement of hole positions and panel dimensions.
