Important results from the project
Goal: Create results, effects at the regional level, for Sweden and for the area. Target areas: Leading region: thanks to the project organization HNV had a substantial impact on several regional players. Develop new knowledge, for example through research: The HNV-supported research projects have been successful from an academic perspective. Develop and commercialize products and services: reached not fully. Building market, develop market-oriented knowledge and create new businesses and jobs: several companies have been created, number of jobs are removed as a target.
Expected long term effects
HNV ´s activities have resulted in valuable results and effects, both quantitative and qualitative in. New products and services have reached the market. Östergötland are now investing heavily in the field of welfare challenges , which the HNV ´s activities have contributed to. The region and HNV have become internationally famous and is now a relevant actor, eg in the application context. Many people have increased their knowledge in the areas thanks to the HNV ´s activities. HNV has managed to contribute to conditions for increased innovation in the region.
Approach and implementation
Instead of creating innovation ability, products and services and growth HNV should create conditions for this by helping to develop the innovation system to make it more functional. The activities should for example, influence attitudes, build framework to create knowledge, to invite to build relationships, create new actuators ( startup companies , research groups, etc.) , and trigger a resource gravity. Regional driving players are an invaluable resource for success. The region should be an important node in the national innovation system.
