Purpose and goal
NyföretagarCentrum Söder started in January 2016 as a special project for concept development. Located in a modern and central location in Södermalm, the project aimed to reach individuals with foreign background who had suitable preconditions för starting and running a company. The activities during the project period has developed well, and today NyföretagarCentrum Söder is the 3rd largest NyföretagarCentrum in the country.
Expected results and effects
During 2016, more than 600 individual was given advice on how to start their own business. 539 business ideas was processed. In total, 167 new businesses were started. Normally, the percentage for starting business for individuals with foreign background is 16%. For NyföretagarCentrum Söder, this figure was 30% during 2016.
Planned approach and implementation
The central location on Södermal, has enabled easy access to workshops, classes and lectures. Seasoned advisors have laid the foundation for a sustainable process. Such advisors with culture communication competence and other special skills, where recruited in an early stage.
