Funding from Vinnova SEK 500 000
Project duration August 2012 - May 2013
Status Completed

Purpose and goal

Over 40 reports and roadmaps have been used as background material or reference materials. 4 workshops have been performed with in total over 25 different organizations participating and additional project meetings. For the workshops, back casting was used according to the ISIS -model (A AtKisson/J Holmberg). About 6 FoI-agendas participated. By that, a wide range of experts have influenced the agenda and the agenda is by that a good platform to build from for the future.

Results and expected effects

One report will be the outcome from this agenda work that grasp over the complex area of transport in a not too penetrating technical way. The intention was never to describe each technical field in detail, but to have more of a top view. For the future will be planned fall 2013, since several organizations have asked for this agenda to participate in Strategic Innovation Areas (Vinnova) or start a new SIA (SIO) based on the findings in the FoI-agenda.

Approach and implementation

Bac casting is a good process for complex areas and was done in 4 workshops. The set up was appreciated by the participants, even though confusing at start. In the end, many participants wanted to do the process once again, when the full potential was undestood. The agenda came to be more focus on road transports, than intended, even though all other transports are considered. If there will be a continoued process/project of any kind, a wish is to have other interest groups participating (young people, disabled, more women etc) to bring even more value to the process. This will be considered.
