Purpose and goal

The aim is to strengthen the Swedish electronics industry and thereby strengthening the Swedish industry and Sweden in total. Through surveys, in-depth interviews, surveys and workshops, we have gathered information in order to make analysis of the electronics industry´s importance and how it can be strengthened. Through the merger of seven agendas into one: ´ Smarter Electronics System for Sweden´ and contacts with related agendas, we have established collaboration and laid the basis for a platform for continued work and future common efforts to enhance the electronics industry.

Results and expected effects

Cooperation has been established between the seven agendas into the one: ´Smarter Electronics Systems´ covering a total of seven agendas in the field of electronics hardware (in a broad sense). A collaboration which has demanded time spent on the coordination of the seven agendas, which has proved to be a wise investment for the future - a platform for collaboration that is a valuable result in itself that will provide for beneficial future work and results.

Approach and implementation

We have worked and cooperated in accordance with the intentions we stipulated in the application: broad collaboration between companies throughout the value chain, including industrial companies in various industries, along with academia and research institutes. The work has been open to all parties interested. We have made a mapping of the electronics industry, we have made more than 30 in-depth interviews, a web survey and organized workshops with broad representation from companies, institutions and academia.
