Purpose and goal
To have close and secure access to accurate measurements that can be traced to the SI is a prerequisite for a modern industrial society and is supported overall through Sweden´s membership of the Metre Convention. SP Technical Research Institute of Sweden is responsible for physical metrology in accordance with a specific regulation about the national metrology system. SP is a signatory of a Mutual Recognition Agreement (MRA) in international metrology and for the Swedish membership of the European Association of National Metrology Institutes, EURAMET.
