Purpose and goal

The project has designed, tested and launched Nationellt Innovationstävlingskontor (NIK) as an integrated part of RISE line organization. From 1 January 2020, NIK is part of the RISE service offering and is organized as a part of the department digital innovation. The unit is managed by director of reserarch Anders Hjalmarsson Jordanius. The

Expected results and effects

Primary results from the project is that NIK was set up as an operation within RISE, with three offers: the mentor package provides the customer with support before deciding on or conducting a competition. The evaluation package helps the customer to design an evaluation model so that the customer can measure the effects of the competition during the implementation or after the implementation. Additional services to the evaluation package are execution of evaluation and design of strategy for the post-process. The third package is a customer adapted partner package.

Planned approach and implementation

The project has been organized as an action and design research project generating drafts of the business and associated service packages. Subsequently, the business (including business model) and the three packages have been tested in different work packages. This in order to validate and improve the offerings on the service offerings and to generate the first externally financed assignments for NIKs operations in 2020. The work has resulted in NIK launching in January 2020 four funded assignments. The project has also funded communication activities and marketing via the web.
