Important results from the project

The purpose of attending the event was to better prepare the company for pitches for venture capitalist firms and angel investors. The purpose was to take the presentation that the company currently has, and improve it through coaching from experienced and qualified business experts in different areas. Another idea behind attending was to meet expert individuals and learn more from them and network.

Expected long term effects

The presentation went very well and APTAB won the ´best presentation´ award as well as ´most improved presentation´ award. The pitch was very successful and the help from the coaches was very relevant in terms of better focusing the different key points of the presentation. The coaches also provided us with great contacts to expand our business network. We have followed up with the coaches at numerous times and initiated discussions. We have also initiated contact with individuals that were recommended to us by the coaches.

Approach and implementation

The even gave all the participants a chance to deliver a real investment pitch to individuals with several years of relevant experience in the start up field. The most relevant thing we brought home from the event was the fact that we should minimize the technicalities during the presentation and focus instead all our attention on explaining to the investors that our product truly works and that customers have already purchased the products and are very satisfied. Many participants made the mistake of presenting too much technical information while forgetting about the businessm model.
