Purpose and goal

The purpose of this project has been to develop and test tools and methods that stimulate, measure and create the right climate for creativity and innovation, and furthermore create conditions for that Pfizer will be able to harvest the creative power in the organization. The project has also established new contacts with organizations´ interested in strengthen the capacity for innovation and a number of companies that want to be included in future research projects.

Results and expected effects

Through the research design new knowledge have been developed connected to how different types of measurements relate to each other and how the feedback and coaching influences an innovation mature organization like Pfizer. Through the wide network of contacts built up during the project, there are good opportunities in the future to both create new research projects in the area and when the method is validated to ensure national dissemination.

Approach and implementation

The main strategy behind the project was to combine two innovative concepts, activities and measurements of innovation, to strengthen the organizations´ innovation climate. By dividing the participating teams in two test groups we were able to compare the teams and understand impact related to the activities´ supporting climate for innovation. A validation study with an organization with similar conditions but with lower innovation maturity is required.
