Important results from the project

The test bed for plastics recycling has begun to be utilized by completely new users, where especially textiles and packaging should be mentioned. There has been both an increasing number of participants in networking and a higher proportion of Nordic companies.

Expected long term effects

From the master thesis projects that have been completed, further development projects are currently under way. A vehicle manufacturer has expressed interest in using the combination of the test bed + master thesis in the same way. Consequently, the concept tested within the project is expected to lead to increased utilization of the test bed. The communication of the test bed and its results has led to an increased spread, in which several Nordic players have shown interest.

Approach and implementation

The opportunity to utilize the test bed for limited studies in the form of thesis work has been communicated via the test bed´s network, which has subsequently led to contacts with interested organizations. These have been invited for discussion and concretization of questions. Once the need has become clear, students have been recruited from the university and completed the studies. The results have been communicated continuously to the test bed´s network and through invitations to external seminars.
