Venture Medtech4Health: Competence Enhancement in SME

Purpose and goal

The purpose of the project was to strengthen the company´s expertise in areas such as education, communication and sales strategy - towards distributors and their sales representatives, as well as healthcare professionals. We believe that the project goal has been achieved, since we have completed several training sessions and demonstrations of our products, and participated in two of Europe´s largest exhibitions / conferences in wound care and medical technology.

Expected results and effects

We have established better procedures for sales and product training for our existing and new distributors, their sales representatives and for healthcare professionals. Through this, we can implement our education, in a more efficient and constructive manner, in the future. Communication to our customers and users has also been "fine-tuned" during this project, through the re-designing of our marketing material.

Planned approach and implementation

The project plan has largely followed the company´s plan for sales and marketing. Training opportunities by distributors have often taken place on a number of occasions. Initially, through a simpler demonstration of the products and later, one or more training sessions by the distributors´ own sales representatives and / or directly with the customer (healthcare personnel) together with the distributor. Contact with existing and new distributors, as well as existing and new users (healthcare personnel) has taken place during two major trade fairs during the year.
