Purpose and goal

The aim of the project was to create a test environment in order to systematically research, test and evaluate concepts, digital competence, and learning within programming and maker culture. The project goal was to design a concept för implementation of makerspace in education. Through the test environment a koncept will be defined, in combination wiht a virtual knowledge platform, to enable test and development in several school environments during the course of the test bed.

Results and expected effects

The planned activity of the project has been carried out. A concept for makerspace and programming, and for a mobile makerspace, has been tested and evaluated. Workshops for development of strategy have been carried out. The project has gathered participants from over 20 different actors, from schools to teacher training, companies and institutions. Many of them have shown an interest in a continuation of the project. The project carried out the conference MakerDays in Göteborg for 170 people.

Approach and implementation

The design and structure of the project has been followed throughout its course. All work packages have been carried out. The project design has been functioning through the project, which has been successfull mainly due to well functioning collaboration between project partners. Tools for digital cooperation have been used throughout the project. The major hurdles in the project have mainly related to coordination between project partners over a short period of time.
