Purpose and goal
The project aims to build a mobile service that enables direct reporting in relation to the detection of faults. The service is based on a mobile application for smart phones, citizen report the error by pressing a button, then sent photo, GPS coordinates and short description of the error to the correct location in the municipal administration. The app is developed and available to the public on the AppStore. Integration with two different local file system is developed and, in the commercial phase for the project is implemented. The app also now developing for Android platform.
Results and expected effects
The project has delivered (1) a working m-government prototype ready to be implemented in the municipalities, (2) Process Work in the project municipalities now have opportunity to improve the quality of municipal services through better planning prioritization and faster remediation of reported faults, (3) a general method for the design and construction of mGovernment services have been developed by SSI (4) a new communication channel between the private and public sphere is delivered through the app (5) public savings due to fewer inspections and better planning is now possible.
Approach and implementation
The project is based on 8 municipalities common case management system service bidirectionally will communicate feedback to the citizen. Civic References will participate in the design of the service and the municipalities for the design of the entity. The project service providers and partners in Iceland and Estonia will then realize the solution. SSI stands for analysis and evaluation research. The project is formally closed after Forwarded to commercial operations and management through a collaboration between the project´s contractors.
