Purpose and goal

The digital lighting system solutions will be an integral and central part of our physical environment in the future. The digital light provides the opportunity to create better living and working environments. It is now possible to create light environments with situation-specific forms and levels of sensory stimulation, so that we improve the conditions for productivity, learning, health, comfort and well-being. The change has begun, and if Sweden is taking a leading role in light-related business tens of thousands of new Swedish jobs can be created.

Results and expected effects

Sweden to be a leading international player in the light of digitization and creation of innovative systems, products and services that lead to improved health and living conditions and tens of thousands of new green jobs in Sweden.

Approach and implementation

For Sweden to take a leading role in increasing the value of the digital light opportunities to create better working and living environments, we need to initiate an innovation area that opens up substantial change. The intention is to create a form of collaboration that elevates both user organizations and contractors´ ability to articulate the potential benefits of digital light. Part of this is to create forms of synergy between the actors in the lighting, both new and established business operators and Sweden´s vast resources within ICT, telecom and smart grid.
