Purpose and goal

The project aim is to reduce the cost for exterior car joints, mainly roof panels. Several different methods exist within the industry for joining of roofs to body sides. Most welding or brazing methods today requires a subsequent sealing operation and in some cases also a covering trim. Some car makers are instead using laser brazing for the roof to side joint, which then is visible. The finish requirements for those joints are very high, but sealing and trim is not needed. The investment and running cost is high. This pre study will propose means to improve arc bracing to meet the performa
