Funding from Vinnova SEK 950 000
Project duration March 2018 - December 2018
Status Completed

Purpose and goal

The project aimed to increase awareness and knowledge of how digitialization can contribute to increased traceability, transparency and resource efficiency in the textile value chain. A priority was to reach out to a larger circle of companies working in the textile and fashion sector and to inform them about the issues that exist and ongoing initiatives to solve them. Obtaining views and thoughts from participating actors has been central, including companies that are smaller and currently unable to participate in various projects and initiatives. We have fully implemented this.

Expected results and effects

The initial objective was to hold two events on the subject and gather at least 40 different companies. The outcome was that the project carried out three events in three different locations, Gothenburg, Borås and Stockholm during the month of December. These events gathered a total of over 140 people and led to Swerea IVF, SIS and TEKO´s newly initiated initiative in the area receiving inquiries from 4 new parties wishing to work on these issues. The material that was shown during the seminar sessions was made available to all participants after the events.

Planned approach and implementation

worked according to the principle of putting the event late in the year where they did not collide with other activities in the area. We have also placed great emphasis on jointly setting up the guidelines for the information to be communicated and for clarifying the message for a wider audience. It was also important to allow a longer period of time to market these events in order to gather a large and relevant audience. We also worked on selecting suitable premises for an event that is based on proximity and dialogue with the audience.
