Project duration December 2010 - December 2013
Status Completed

Important results from the project

The aim was to establish MTC as a natural partner in the development of knowledge in the areas of services and market. MTC should also be a natural link to the academia. MTC has to a large degree expanded its network, both among business (number of companies and different branches), and researchers. MTC is now considered a natural hub for knowledge sharing. We have also through an increased number of seminars and Challenge Groups (meetings between companies and researchers) significantly increased dissemination and networking, both within and between companies and academia.

Expected long term effects

The result is an excellent insight into the most important issues for businesses, as well as an ability to match the ´right´ research skills. MTC feature the forefront of the issues addressed at networking activities and seminars - and is sometimes contacted as a reference in the field. MTC worked with partners to develop a platform for an agenda for service innovation. There is a lot of support and interest from the industry for the issues raised.

Approach and implementation

Applications for new projects, conducted seminars and activities as well as Challengegroups met with the goals, and expanded at a satisfactory pace. The objective of ensuring continued funding via the industry was difficult, so a continued need for funding exists. Establishing MTC as natural partner, for issues related to market and service innovation, for both the industry and academia has succeeded. Through the expanded network, MTC also continues to highlight relevant questions, facilitating exchanges and collaborations that can create favorable conditions for growth.
