Purpose and goal

Intrapreneurship and resistance - a relational perspective on comptenceTo develop understandings of the interplay between intrapreneurship and resistance in organizations. To strengthen constructive change processes by improving the ability to encourage and support intrapreneurial initiatives among members of the organizations while taking into account the energy and commitment that can be found in resistance.

Results and expected effects

To contribute to an increased effectiveness in the organizations that participate in the study by developing their understanding of how resistance comes into play in intrapreneurial processes.

Approach and implementation

Study 1 and 2 are based on an ethnographic approach in close cooperation with the organizations studied. Study 3 is based on a questionnaire. Study 1 and 2 is designed to describe and interpret the dynamic interplay between resistance and renewal over time in the organization. We will use observations, interviews, focus groups, and internal information. The intention is to reach a local, linguistically sensitive understanding of how intrapreneurship and resistance are constructed in different organizational settings and stages. Study 3 is designed to investigate the robustness and relevance of the findings from Study 1 and 2. Findings and interpretations are fed back to the organizations participating during the entire project.

The project description has been provided by the project members themselves and the text has not been looked at by our editors.
