Intranetgrader: Tool for independent benchmarking and datadriven development of intranets

Reference number
Coordinator MCCS GROUP AB
Funding from Vinnova SEK 471 000
Project duration August 2015 - December 2016
Status Completed

Purpose and goal

The goal was to create a cloud-based tool that aims to improve the capacity and efficiency for internal collaboration in the digital workplace. During the project, a larger and well-known Swedish company chose to partially finance the product in order to use it themselves. This validates both the problem definition as well as the solution hypothesis. This client will gain access to the prototype the same month that the project ends. The project objective is considered to be fulfilled.

Expected results and effects

The project consisted of three work packages. With respect to execution of planned work activities, these were carried out according to plan and met project goals. With respect to activity effects, these have been according to plan except for activities within Work Package 1 that actually exceeded expectations. This is because one of the pilot customers chose to co-finance product development for their own use in addition to feedback and tests, which was part of the work package.

Planned approach and implementation

The project consisted of three work packages. In short 1) hypothesis validation and prototype development, 2) business model generation and 3) intellectual property protection. In retrospect and partly thanks to Vinnova´s criteria, the project team considers the chosen work package categories as successful, since the norm otherwise is to put too much emphasis on prototype development and no to little focus on hypothesis validation, sustainable business business and assurance of legal protection.

The project description has been provided by the project members themselves and the text has not been looked at by our editors.
