Status | Completed |
Purpose and goal
The purpose of the project was to integrate The technology Innoscentia has with printed electronics. Goals Achieve printability of the sensing material (done) Print the sensing material on electrodes and read the digital signal (done) Evaluate the performance of different electrodes to achieve optimal signal (done) Identify technology specifications in order to integrate with RFID/NFC (done) Identify and establish a plan forward to finalize the product (done) Real time measurement on chicken samples and read signal (done) Increase the conductivity of the material (done)
Expected results and effects
The most positive from all of the results is that Innoscentia now knows that a integration of the material with printed electronics is possible. A plan forward has also been created to solve a few challenges. The effects of the project are two new materials has been created at the same time Innoscentia has gain knowledge regarding the technical specifications of the electrodes performance. This is essential to create the final sensor solution. The new materials have better conductive properties and sensitivity, which make it simpler to use the commercial available electrodes.
Planned approach and implementation
The project has been very smooth. Although, a much greater workload ended up on Innoscentia. A substantial part has been to evaluate different electrodes and the interaction with the sensing material. In parallel Innoscentia also put in efforts to increase the conductivity of the sensing material. Beneli, as a partner, has added a lot of value regarding challenges of the printability, that Beneli and Innoscentia solved quiet easily. The work done by Malmö Högskola has contribute to the evaluation of the electrodes as well as to the specifications and designs of the needed electrodes.
