Important results from the project
Development work of an innovative instrument for monitoring oil in produced water for the global marine market has generated two patents and a monitor with unique performance. The monitor has been branded ´Greenmon´.
Expected long term effects
Greenmon has achieved great customer response from the small group of companies who have been informed of the ongoing development process. Marketing starts September 2016. Initially the market will be limited to uncertified monitors and monitors for application evaluation. Necessary product certificates will be issued first quarter of 2017. In 2018 we expect Greenmon to contribute significantly to the company´s turnover.
Approach and implementation
Greenmon conforms well to the proposal in the application concerning mechanical, electronical and optical design. Dead-lines and estimated extent of necessary labor specified in the application for all work packages have corresponded well with the actual outcome. The wavelengths of the light that the measurements are based on have changed a little during the development work, which partly contributed to an exceeding of the budget for materials purchase. The total budget has been 10% exceeded.
