Innovative Gender Management

Reference number
Coordinator Fiber Optic Valley AB
Funding from Vinnova SEK 500 000
Project duration August 2012 - March 2013
Status Completed

Purpose and goal

The objective of the agenda was to develop new knowledge about business needs and future challenges in the area of genderaware and innovative leadership and also to create a strategy to handle this. Above all a verification of existing research is requiered. The verification must be done interactively and in close collaboration with industry and with new innovative business models to offer customized knowledge. The agenda has generated a long-term strategy to address this challenge.

Results and expected effects

The demand for more customized knowledge about genderaware management must be met by creating the conditions for an application of existing research in the area. The demand is not matched by an offer, in this case due to the lack of suppliers and a developed industry that can offer packaged solutions. Here is a great potential for service innovation involving new business models that develop and validate existing knowledge in different test beds and spread it.

Approach and implementation

The agenda has involved a variety of Fiber Optic Valley´s member companies and also other industry representatives both in the needs analysis and the strategy. To ensure that the strategy is applicable in practice a number of leading genderresearchers, consultants and experts within the field have been involved. The analysis has been carried out both in the form of individual interviews and in various workshops in the form of an open innovation.

The project description has been provided by the project members themselves and the text has not been looked at by our editors.
