Important results from the project

Project activities are based on the organization´s currrent structures, working methods and have been adapted to current needs and conditions. The method has helped to achieve employee commitment, participation and has created new ideas for improvements and innovations. Strengthening the employee competence for development and innovative work has been central. With knowledge and experience translated into practical action, the foundation for relevant working methods has been laid in the pilot groups, which are disseminated in their networks and the rest of the organization.

Expected long term effects

With competence development about innovation in management and functions for development, insight and knowledge has improved and thus provide a basis for long-term, strategic and systematic innovative work in order to ensure the best use of tax assets. An attractive employer utilizes insights and ideas from employees, which the project has contributed to. Challenges in ordinary activities have been identified, ideas and new or improved working methods have also been developed and subsequently implemented in ordinary activities.

Approach and implementation

The project is based on the municipality´s values and previous municipal joint systematic improvement work, continuous improvements. A quality-assured basis for further development of employee-driven innovation with culture, structure and systematic as the red thread in the work. Focusing on parts of the organization, cross-border work, basic structure for idea management and several of the initiatives implemented in ordinary activities, there is now a new and improved starting point for continued innovation work in the organization. But changing culture takes time.
