Important results from the project
Create a functioning and value-creating lab where users and operators can benefit from data, but also from each other in the creation of services and applications and create information dissemination between the actors. Data sets that are made available in the data lab: Geographical data (map, property map, height, buildings), Property data, Enrollment data, Historical property formation acts. Examine techniques and sub-areas for enabling and improving data ex. AR / Crowdsourcing, Block chains, AI and cooperate with a GIS cluster GIA - Gävle Innovation Arena.
Expected long term effects
A quantitative effect from the project is that Lantmäteriet, with the help of the innovation infrastructure established through Gävle Innovation Arena and in the way that the innovation infrastructure has been used, is now working on creating a new type of innovation license for its authority data. Further results are an innovation infrastructure with an associated process that in the future enables a simpler procedure for innovators who want to use the data from Lantmäteriet.
Approach and implementation
To better understand the use of data from Lantmäteriet by offering opportunities in various ways to use data and applications together with external actors and also through the general work with Gävle Innovation Arena. During the project, strategic learning showed that general communication that data is now available does not produce the desired effect. The learning shows that the result had been better if cooperation with special interest groups had started at an earlier stage. Rights of code to produced applications are also something that must be sorted out early.
