Purpose and goal
The purpose of the pre study was to provide a deeper understanding and knowledge of innovation, how an innovation model for a municipality like Lerum can be designed and operate, how we can strengthen our internal innovation and how we can strengthen innovation in business and of the residents. In the pre study, the need for an innovation system has been proven and a number of key factors for a successful innovation system have been defined.
Expected results and effects
In the pre study, the conclusion that an innovation portal and an innovation process is something Lerum should work on strengthening and it is a natural part of the work with Lerum´s vision. A content and structure to enter a second phase in the project and the application to VINNOVA for the project to continue is part of the strategic plan for increased innovation with focus on Vision 2025. A plan that describes the processes, methods, timeline and budget for implementation has been established. Collaboration with relevant stakeholders has been established.
Planned approach and implementation
The pre study has been conducted through surveys of reprocessed material, participation in conferences, interviews with key personnel and workshops. Intelligence from other organizations has been collected primarily through meetings and visits. Development of cooperation has, among others, taken place with Halmstad University for collaboration on innovation and equality. Inspiration from other organizations for how an innovation model can be formed has helped us to identify key factors we have to work with in the creation of an innovation system and innovation portal.
