Purpose and goal
The project has led to increased understanding and anchorage of the concept of innovation. Status analysis and the pilot project have given insight into strengths and weaknesses in innovation capacity. Researchers have contributed with an overall framework for systematic innovation management and analyzed the current state. They have also gained insight into organizational inertia and ambidexterity. There is a designated need from the management of innovation and there is the power and will of the employees. But there is a gap, as structures and fast decision paths are missing.

Planned approach and implementation
The layout and implementation have largely followed the planning of current status analysis, analysis of strengths and weaknesses linked to innovation capacity, research-based knowledge input and collaboration with a pilot (Valdemarsvik Care Center) to transfer and test the insights and knowledge. The pilot has provided insight into the current situation. Compared to the planning, further activities have been carried out, such as the study of Övertorneå health center, regarding their construction of an innovation capability.
