Purpose and goal

We have developed a security door with SS EN 1627 RC4 classification enabling us to offer our customers a complete security-classed and flexible grid system, FerraPod, unique because of its characteristics: o Flexible modular system o Built without hot work & does not affect operation o Non-existent influence on airflow We conducted a successful test at RISE´s facility in Borås, August 23rd. We are now taking the step towards production and have already offered the door to a handful of customers as part of larger tenders. FerraPod - Develops innovative grid systems for a safer world

Expected results and effects

The aim of the project was to develop a unique grid door with RC4 security classification, to provide our customers with a complete security-class and flexible grid system, walls, roof and door, FerraPod. We conducted a successful test at RISE´s plant in August, and our door is security-clissification RC4 according to SS EN 1627. The door based on FerraPod´s patented design is approved in sizes from 80 x 210cm to 1500x2500cm.

Planned approach and implementation

We have developed door prototype design and, after analysis, purchased existing locks and hinges. Through collaborations with consultants and subcontractors we gained expertise in technical know-how and design drawing. Construction and development of prototypes of various widths and sizes were made in the company´s workshop premises. Our goal of testing and certification at RISE will take place in May, which was delayed to August when it was subsequently implemented successfully. The biggest challenge has been to have cooperation with external partners work in a timely manner.
