Purpose and goal

The aim was to improve collaboration between companies, academia and healthcare in order to strengthen the health sector´s role as an engine for the development of new methods and products. Within the sub-project Co-creation, an obstacle compilation was made, as well as a deep dive into the state of knowledge in digital solutions based on cloud services.

Expected results and effects

The project has contributed to more structured collaborations between companies and care in 4 regions. Experiences and lessons learned have been disseminated within and outside the project, through conferences, webinars, workshops, podcasts, reports and websites. The various collaborative projects have contributed to ie a self-monitoring solution in Östergötland, Innovation Clinics and partnerships in Västerbotten, Innovation nodes and innovation race in Uppsala and test of a new process for collaboration between healthcare and medical technology industry in VGR.

Planned approach and implementation

The starting point was to identify regions that wanted to develop a systematic collaboration between healthcare and companies. It is about new and innovative methods, working methods and processes that include medical devices. Four regions participated. An important factor was that the region´s management would be involved so that the projects were well anchored. This proved to be an important factor for succeeding all the way to implementation. Communication about the project has taken place on an ongoing basis in aim to spread lessons.
