Purpose and goal
The objective of the project is to investigate and clarify the industrial needs and potential competitive value of a Digital Stambana, i.e. digital value chains, platforms and digital markets. The results are to be distributed among politicians and decision makers in companies, especially in those of small and medium size. The objective of the prestudy was to develop the project consortium, the project research approach and the project plan. The application was submitted and approved end 2018.
Expected results and effects
The prestudy resulted in a project consortium and a now approved project application, December 2018. The project structure and realization will be of investigative character trying to map out and develop important pieces, adding to the digitalization puzzle. This to create an improved understanding of the potential of industrial digitalization. A digitalization that will enable Swedish industry to integrate with the international digital market.
Planned approach and implementation
Two value chains within manufacturing and process industry, respectively, were analyzed to map out potential value by digitalization. Based on this, workshops and continued joined efforts resulted in a common project application to Vinnova.
