Purpose and goal
The project aimed to find out more about the users of open data. How can we get in touch with them and what is important to them; so that that they are able and willing to use EPA data? We want to help others to use our data, not only by providing the correct formats, but also to understand what the data means and what can be made of it.
Results and expected effects
We have described our results for other agencies and organizations that are grappling with the same issues as us. We have given presentations internally and externally, participated in hackathons and have had contact with other agencies and organizations that are interested in how we work, what requirements we have on our platforms and what we have gained in experience by our present work.
Approach and implementation
We provide access to our data on the terms om the users. We use film as a medium to communicate our work with open data and share information about current data. We visualize our environmental experts in images so that our visitors feel that they are communicating with actual people.
