Purpose and goal

In Kungsbacka municipality we have invested in strengthening our employees in thinking new. We wanted to give employees the power to work with innovation, which is why we named the project "Innovationskraft", that is "Power for innovation". Our focus in the project has been to create conditions and infrastructure and to build competence and to build capacity.

Expected results and effects

We have developed the Kungsbacka innovation model, which is based on service design through user-driven development. We have created training in service design. So far, we have trained more than 200 employees and managers as well as more than thirty innovation coaches who can help support employees. We have built a website where tools and ideas are presented, www.innovationskraftkungsbacka.se

Planned approach and implementation

The Municipal Executive Office in Kungsbacka has been responsible for the project and implemented it in collaboration with the Dept of Education, Elderly care and Service. This has facilitated anchoring and dissemination in the organization. The project has been aided by the introduction of a Common workplace culture and the Project "Our future way of working", where we transform our premises into an activity-based way of working, promoting creativity, innovation and collaboration. Through shared project leadership, we have had momentum in the project throughout the period.
